Money Matters

My journey to financial freedom.

Here’s the Peso-Dollar Exchange Rate for July 15, 2011:

The Peso-Dollar Exchange Rate for July 15, 2011 is P42.90 = USD1.00 (Official Government Rate).

Paypal’s Peso Exchange Rate for July 15, 2011 is 1 USD = 41.8839 PHP.

Today is payday! Too bad the US dollar conversion to peso is loo low. Maybe next week will bring good news to us? Let’s claim that!

Piggy bank

Smiling Sally

I might have a need to break the piggy bank soon. I made some bad financial decisions and my pockets are suffering for the past couple of weeks already. I will share in the next couple of entries here what those bad decisions are. I am hoping that by sharing it I will be able to discern the lessons that those bad decisions have given me.

Happy Monday everyone!

Okay, so here’s the thing. I almost gave up on this blog. I thought I will just discard this and just use the old entries in a new one. Thank goodness I didn’t do it because can you now see a teeny-weeny bit of green on your G00g’s toolbar? Yup! That’s a ONE there! ;)

There will be some minor changes here. I am not too happy with the theme. I believe I will change it into something else later in the day. The categories might also change. I want to make it simpler and wants topic written here categorized into 5 only. There is a sure entry published every Monday and Friday. So that’s at least 2 entries a week here. But there will be more if I find the time to squeeze it in. Everything else will remain the same.

I am excited to start the changes here! And excited to write more!

Happy Monday!

Meet CC

Meet my CC…

I don’t know exactly what she is but I assumed she’s a cow hehe. I bought this because I wanted to give it to my little girl but she didn’t want it. Well, faced with a dollhouse I don’t think any 5-year-old kid would choose a stuffed toy over it, right?

CC will be my model in this blog. She will be talking to you on finances in relation to the daily life. Every Thursday and Saturday, she will have her own entry accompanied by a photo of her.

Hope you will welcome CC in the world of blogging!

Online Banking

MellowYellowBadge

One of the things that I love about banking nowadays is that I can do it online. Very convenient for someone like me who always feel so lazy to go out in the morning.

Aside from the convenience in paying bills and fund transfers, online banking made it easier for everyone to track their bank accounts anywhere they are.

When my sister saw the domain name, she was like… corny! Why this name?

Well, let me tell you why I chose Kashbanc.com as this blog’s domain name…

You see, back when I started a couple of years ago, those days I was so obsessed with monetizing my blogs, I was thinking of a domain name that would sound lucky. Something about cash and blog being my bank where I will get money from. I didn’t want to use the words cash and bank exactly so I changed the first and last letters of the combined words. Thus, Kashbanc. Instead of what should have been Cashbank.

Do you now get where the domain name came from?

Start Saving Up

I started this year with the hope of being able to save up. I have spent the past couple of years from hand to mouth. Always waiting for the paycheck to arrive to spend all of it regardless whether I have a budget to follow or not. But, well, cash inflow was not what I expected it to be. Now that I was all bent to save up, there’s not enough to keep in the bank.

Whatever.

This second half of the year, no matter what the cashflow will be like, before this year ends, there should be enough money in the bank for me. That’s a must!

I need to start saving up!
